Trust and safety

Safeguarding

DeExclusives works with students, teenagers, and people in orphanages and special homes. Their safety comes before a photograph, a story, or a fundraising message.

Our commitments

A young person’s dignity, privacy, and choice come before publicity. Our people do not move a conversation with a child onto a personal phone or a private social media account.

We do not publish a name, face, school, or story that identifies a participant unless we have permission that is still valid. We do not invent quotations.

We take a concern seriously even when the details are incomplete.

Photographs and stories

We publish a participant’s photograph or story only with consent. If that consent is withdrawn, we take the material down.

How to report a concern

Use the contact form and start the message with “Safeguarding”. Tell us what happened, when, and where, as far as you know. You do not have to give your name, but we can reply only if you leave a way to reach you.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. This form is not an emergency service.

What happens next

Your message is kept private. It is not published on the website. Our safeguarding lead decides the next step, which may include speaking with a school, a venue, a parent, or the proper authority.

We keep a safeguarding record for as long as it is needed to protect the people involved.

Events and outreach

Asking for a visit does not confirm one. Before a visit goes ahead, we agree who will supervise and how consent will be handled.
